By way of an update ... for those of you who have written and expressed concern:

My life took a rather dramatic turn during the week of January 21st, leaving me struggling with some serious long term health circumstances.

Life as I knew it ... and took for granted ... changed with each breath I attempted to take.

Through the mystery that is medical science and the majesty that is the prayer and love from family and friends, I sit here this evening.

Breathing is still difficult ... but it is with each breath I take that I am grateful.

Am I back? Not yet. It may be awhile.

I have gone fishin' ... floating in the slow boat of healing and casting my line into the still waters of life.
