12.31.08

As we welcome the year 2009, I have no resolutions but a few sweet aspirations:

That I will be more generous with my talents, my money ... and my spirit of hope.

That I will seek joy.

That I will share a smile with more frequency.

That I will be more helpful to my family and friends.

That I will bridle my tongue when it comes to gossip.

That I will unleash my tongue when it comes to praise and appreciation.

And so, as we say goodbye to 2008 and all it held, I wish you many sweet aspirations for 2009.

Happy New Year!

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Campaign

World AIDS Day

AVERT

International AIDS Alliance

Why do I remember World AIDS Day?

It is very simple: If I don't, who will?

That is the question every person on this planet with the resources should be asking themselves.

Do I contribute towards research and assistance? Damn right I do.

Why?

We are a community of people. A global community. AIDS is our problem.

Too many people still say that HIV/AIDS is a "gay problem". Wrong.

We are a community of people. A global community. AIDS is our problem.

Too many people still say that HIV/AIDS is a problem only in South Africa or other countries. Wrong.

We are a community of people. A global community. AIDS is our problem.

Too many people still say that they can't be bothered, that others will handle it. Wrong.

We are a community of people. A global community. AIDS is our problem.

So ... if I don't remember World AIDS Day ... if I don't contribute ... if I don't educate ...

Who will?

You.
